"If your eyes could speak, what would they say?"

A childhood friend recently told me to start a post with the colours of my recent nail paint. He is still in the English Teacher mode, where he is a little taken aback by the audacity of majority of his students to cheat a story from the same source.  Well, there are times we both agree that some thoughts carry you on a journey, but you do not jot them down. They are like tiny wildflowers in the grass, dancing along a bright blue sky.

After a bit of rolling out here and there, I am now all set to try. So, painting, reading, writing, watching, visiting, talking, and all such activities are in a way or the other, approaches towards trying to be comfortable with yourself. And as a friend of mine said, there is a lot of time, even when everything seems to wear off, we need to remember that the path was never easy, but the effort counts, not giving up on yourself counts.

So, back to the nail paint. Like other times and things, I have a name for this as well. A dark blue sky filled with green, yes, you guessed it correct. It is the 'Aurora Borealis', commonly called 'The Northern Lights'. Time and again, these lights carry me to the geography classroom where I had known about it for the first time and was amazed at nature's wonderfulness.

It is surprising how slowly as you grow up, the sense of amazement, of astonishment, of being surprised seems to fade off, little by little. You keep longing for newer first times, and lamenting the ones that hold no more. Sometimes, you will do everything possible for a dopamine rush, while at other times, it will be hard to move a finger. While I write this, maybe, some of you will try to categorise symptoms of known and unknown diseases. I leave that to you. For much of my life, I have looked up to words as the closest pals, that offer solace and set you free.

As I am trying to set my room with some pictures of life and of art, a still from 'The Book Thief' makes it way. It is of Max. And he is asking, "If your eyes could speak, what would they say?"

Some more days back, I was staring at a decapitated head of a prawn amidst its exoskeleton. I could not help but imagine it staring at us, asking numerous questions with its captivating black eyes. There is not much to write. There is a well of emotions, and sometimes, it just appears as a dark pit. I would like to believe another dear friend when she hopes that this is some character building arc which will make sense in season 33 of our lives, lest we are able to hold on till then. Anyway, hope is what keeps us going. So keep asking yourself, "If your eyes could speak, what would they say?"
