Best way ?

What is the best way to do something? Is there only one best way or many ? Well, ya, I know how contradictory I sound. We believe there is a best way which implies that there is only on way of doing it brilliantly..But,who concluded that? Was it a supreme authority? Or was it a derivation from Classical Utilitarianism (Maximum benefit for maximum people), as in the most cases that represented greater success were those who followed the so-called 'best-way'... Can we each have our own best ways?

We do know that our perceptions shape the reality of our lives. Our thoughts are what make us. When we all don't have the same thoughts than how can we have the same ways and same aims? And even if somewhere far we all are united by a seemingly common goal, how can our ways to achieve it be the same? The most successful way might for a moment guarantee us that we are less likely to fail. But, are our views on failure similar? Who decides we have failed? What is failure actually? And why are we so afraid to fail ?

Socialisation! Yes, we are told from the beginning what is expected from us. We are groomed and made to fit the central ideology of our society. Infact, our upbringing tells us that we are not our first priority. That we must abide by what the society follows at large for it has been there for ages and thus, is the right thing to do. Really? We are the result of millions of years of evolution and this is what our thoughts are?

Society has made us so fearful of failures that we have altogether avoided to try! And let me tell you, it's not just me or you.. it's all of us. We curse the society and we are also what the society comprises of. And it's mostly that we do to others what was done to us (Be sure, most of it isn't something positive). Imagine a person going to a cycle race. The person tries but isn't the one who reaches the finish line first, or second or even third...He failed, isn't it?
No. He succeeded in doing something he decided. He did something at all. We don't know what his/her troubles were, what was his beginning point. No, not all beginning points are so perfectly marked as in a cycle race and nor are the finishing lines, the actual end. There is something beyond that. And even if the person "wins", what does he/she wins? A moment's glory. Or something more? Some self-goals, maybe, hopefully.

What I am trying to say is that we are the weavers of our complex spider webs. There is no pre-decided best way. It's our web, we were not born to get caught in its threads and die. Why let anyone tell us where to set our foot in? What's the worst that can happen for this great contradiction of the "best-way" ideology? We will simply slip off, get entangled more or in the rarest of cases die i.e. we will fail. So what? We can get up again and set another foot in any other never-till-now ventured area and maybe, discover something that actually adds meaning to our lives. And even if we fail again, we will surely fall at a different place. :D Doesn't the possibility of finding something of "your own", something that might be answer to your questions, something that imparts you a view you have never previously thought upon, makes blood rush in your veins and gives you goosebumps? Are you not imagining your eyes smiling with tears that "...ah! this is so beautiful... it took so long and so much...and finally, I am here...This is mine!"

I hope. (Well...Hope is such a mighty word!)
I hope that we all have the courage and will to find our own ways out of our webs...and not worry whether 'best way' is followed .. The way you take is your best way. There is a reason or may be something more than a reason that's there, open your soul to it and you will see! :)
