Memories showing patterns?

Clicked by @priya_hansdaAs I was trying to clear my Google drive, my focus soon shifted to old emails. Re-reading them at these wee hours (because why not!) brings back among other things, the fact that we have been strong & had people around.
It is indeed a game, upping up at every level. Like probably, we are as much a "pattern", as everything else in nature. Perhaps, if we just wait long enough we will be able to recognise them in due time with a little bit of reflection. Maybe, some of us are just spirals, and maybe, that's the normal. Everything else is just a figment of the popular dream and being okay to being happy is our American Gold Rush.
Also, considering how many times we have brought or been taught about mental health, it's a structural failure, a failure of our society that is getting uncovered layer by layer as the pandemic rages on with each of us inside the physical, mental and emotional walls of quarantine. Something as basic as human touch, or even sitting close to people, and even sharing a meal.. has become a thing of the past which might be uncomfortable to ease in future as well. Maybe, one fine day we will not be conscious that the characters of our shows and movies are way too close to each other & without masks.
But, coming back to the point, it feels all that we are going through is actually not something we should held our individual selves responsible for. In the movie- The Boston Globe, it was said, " ..It takes a village to raise a child, and a village to abuse one". Stretching it a bit, can cover mental health and related issues as well.
We are people who do not visit the dentist unless it's a horrible tooth ache that cannot be solved for days at home. And when it is made better at the dentist's, and we are suggested to visit the dentist regularly every 6 months for check-up, most of us don't. Because, what's the need, nothing is in pain as of now. The next visit to dentist will surely be when we again face another issue with our mouth..and this cycle continues. We are never taught or told that we can also take care of ourselves regularly, the entropy continues.

Take care!
