One more day
IIT-G
It’s deeply troubling when things and places or for that matter even people whom you never visited or met get attached symbolically to your thoughts. However much you try to move on, there is something always that pulls you back- be it the (Brahmaputra) river or the lake or those roads you thought you would travel or those cozy gardens and even just a smile you thought you will be greeted with.
Alas! However poetic thoughts and dreams may sound, reality always has naive, horrendous and silent dramas. You can never actually tell which way you are heading. The scorching sun only adds to your miseries sometimes because you know the vacant roads and the absence of that smile makes even the lush greenery and over-riding hills go to the backseat. Was all this trouble worth it?
People you give you time and thoughts to can’t one day suddenly vanish into thin air. Actually, they may very adamantly do so in real life (and a secret, THEY DO). But, you can never forget the people you once knew. The memory might be faded, the thoughts given new shapes and may be, nothing as you imagine now ever existed. It’s just how your brain is playing with you. (Sigh!)
May be some roads are better tread alone. For with people comes pain. Sometimes the things and places you think you knew about changes into something where irrespective of the eight hundred people or eight thousand people you still carve for one meeting. Or may be it is your your battle taking place in you- whether the heart wins or the mind. One result everytime helps to keep the battle a little far for time-being. As is for the company, BOOKS never disappoint or break you. [Thanks Mitch Albom for "For One More Day".. and shetty (P) for sharing them :P]
And indeed, A novel a day makes happiness stay! :)
